‘A New Day’ is, in the words of the artist, “a rebirth, a new beginning”. The inspiration came instinctively to Temper, who equates being led towards this style with the natural state in which all human beings enter the world. He felt his soul had been stripped down and what emerged was absolutely real. The naked forms represent a new start, where the artist is vulnerable and exposed, yet strong in conviction, with all the possibilities of a new life ready for him to grasp.
